Free Video Converter from iWisoft

This month's freeware for the Windows platform features a helpful utility to deal with video conversions. Originally a shareware program, it has been released as freeware within the past few years from software developer iWisoft.


This easy-to-use program offers not only an impressive array of options but a slick and handsome interface. Capable of converting videos from the sometimes inconvenient formats of .mkv, .mp4, .mov, and .flv among others to more standard fare, it also will extract audio and reconstitute it into a variety of formats, from .mp3 to .ogg. Direct conversion from one audio format to another in a staggeringly diverse selection of types is also available.
