FreeMind
FreeMind is a premier free mind-mapping software written in Java. The application is similar to MindManager, however, is faster thanks to its one-click "fold / unfold" and "follow link" operations. Currently FreeMind is being deployed by its users in these situations - keeping track of projects ( including subtasks, state of subtasks and time recording); project workplace, including links to necessary files, executables, source of information and of course information; workplace: to build knowledge base - using Google and other sources; File mode enables you to browse the files on your computer, seeing the folder structure as mind map; keeping a collection of small or middle sized notes with links on some area which expands as needed; for students: essay writing and brainstorming, using colors to show which essays are open, completed, not yet started etc, using size of nodes to indicate size of essays; at home: maintaining a small database whose structure could either very dynamic or not known in advance - contacts, recipes, medical records etc.

System Tray Cleaner
System Tray Cleaner is a simple tool to remove icons from the system tray. It lists up all the system tray icons, and also identify which programs they belong to. After the listing by System Tray Cleaner you can choose whether you wish to stop a certain program, remove it from startup (so it doesn't start automatically every time you turn on your computer) or simply uninstall it. This helps not only to get rid of the clutter in the system tray but also speed up computer's start time.
The 1274 KB System Tray Cleaner for Windows Vista, Windows XP, Windows 2003 and Windows 7 can be downloaded at http://www.innovative-sol.com/soft/system_tray_ cleaner/System_Tray_Cleaner.exe
KeyScrambler
The identities keyed-in online are becoming increasingly vulnerable to keylogging attacks. The stakes are even higher when we use Internet banking or perform business-related tasks online. KeyScrambler can protect by encrypting (scrambling) the keystrokes and effectively making them indecipherable. KeyScrambler offers encryption to keystrokes in over 150 most often used browsers and applications - protects your inputs in IE, Firefox, messages in Yahoo mail, hotmail, and gmail, user credentials related to online banking logins, and credit cards. While KeyScrambler Personal encrypts keystrokes of your username(s) and password(s), KeyScrambler Professional encrypts keystrokes of all your input, be it a credit card number or a whole page of email you type out on the Internet.

When not to use Design Patterns? Do not use design patterns in any of the following situations. • When the software being designed would not change with time. • When the requirements of the source code of the application are unique. If any of the above applies in the current software design, there is no need to apply design patterns in the current design and increase unnecessary complexity in the design. When to use Design Patterns? Design Patterns are particularly useful in one of the following scenarios. • When the software application would change in due course of time. • When the application contains source code that involves object creation and event notification. Benefits of Design Patterns: The following are some of the major advantages of using Design Patterns in software development. • Flexibility • Adaptability to change • Reusability What are Design Patterns?
